E.J.’s Outpost Adventure Company provides guided tours from various outdoor recreation spots around Tioga, Tompkins, Delaware and Cortland Counties.  Activities include kayaking, cycling, hiking, camping and general exploring. Everyone from beginners to experts are welcome.

Lighthouse landings provides camp sites, canoe and kayak rentals and instruction. Float trips, tubing and hiking are also available. Day trips and overnight stays.

Open April 1st - October 1st depending on the weather.
Lighthouse landings is located between Marathon and Whitney Point on Rt.11

Wilderness Way School offers fundamental training in outdoor living and survival. These are primarily primitive and traditional skills taught with an emphasis on respect for the earth and natural resources. For the basic needs of shelter, water, fire and food, the student is guided through hands-on practice to a comfort level of proficiency. Additional course offerings include food and medicine from wild plants, tracking animals, tanning hides, making stone tools, pottery, wilderness navigation, and customized content.  Available for lectures, presentations and demonstrations. Free student camping.

Directions: Rt. 17 to Exit 64. Court Street to Main Street, turn right, then immediate left onto Rt. 96 (North Avenue) to 4th red light.  Turn left on Talcott Street, then right on Glenmary to left on Ballou.
